The Return Of The Living Dead
What zombie spoof has become more famous than the Return of the living dead series?
This famous parody of the George E Romero zombie movies is claimed to be one of the greatest horror/comedies of all time.
The movie begins with Freddy and his uncle Frank working late at the UNEEDA medical supply.
After Freddy asks Frank: "What's the weirdest thing you've ever seen" Frank replies that the answer has to be zombies that were spawned due to some toxic gas owned by the military. Freddy doesn't believe him, so Frank takes him down to the basement and shows him the canisters filled with toxic gas and a corpse inside. Frank explains that the barrels were shipped to the wrong warehouse and stored in the basement. Frank calms him down by showing that the corpse is harmless and slaps the can. Of course it brakes a hole and the gas sprays out and brings a corpse in the building back to life.
The stores owner, Burt arrives and they take the corpse to the morgue and cremates it. But this only makes it worse as the smoke from the crematorium, along with a sudden shower of rain brings the corpses from a nearby cemetery back to life as brain-eating, fast-running, hungry zombies.
And this isn't the regular shoot-them-in-the-head-and-they-die zombies. Nope, the only way the get rid of the undead is to totally burn them and reduce them in to ashes, which of course makes the killings a bit more difficult.
No it's the dead against the living. Who will survive and who will die?
